About Paula J. Butler, LMFT
I work with individuals who are seeking to live a more values-based, meaningful, and purposeful life, as well as couples who want to rebuild connection, trust, and emotional safety within their relationship.
My approach is grounded in the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment science, and relational healing.
In my practice I often work with couples navigating high conflict dynamics, emotional or narcissistic abuse, infidelity, betrayal, and patterns of disconnection that leave partners feeling misunderstood or alone.
I also work with individuals who may be sober curious, struggling with addiction, navigating compulsive behaviors, or seeking recovery support and healing around related challenges.
When appropriate, this work can be thoughtfully integrated into couples therapy as partners begin to rebuild trust and move toward healing together.
While sessions often begin within a traditional time frame, we will not always adhere strictly to the clock. When important moments begin to unfold, we allow space for the conversation to deepen.
I encourage connection, smiles, and vulnerability. I invite you to begin a conversation about what may be possible for you and the life you want to create as things begin to unfold in new ways.
